The Inner City Transformation Roadmap (JCEDIR) is the City of Johannesburg’s statement of intent for transforming the Inner City. Developed in partnership with local stakeholders, city/government departments and other interested affected stakeholders, the JCEDIR serves a strategic framework that sets out initiatives to support the economic development of the Inner City, revive declining economic nodes in the Inner City, as well as to stimulate the growth of strategic neighbourhoods
The JCEDIR seeks to build on the competitive advantages of the Inner City by supporting emerging and underdeveloped economic opportunities through a clustered programmatic approach.
