Mahikeng Stadium GIS Portal

Mahikeng Stadium GIS Portal
CLIENT:Â North West Department of Public Works
OVERVIEW: The Mahikeng Stadium GIS Portal was developed for the design activities associated to the Mahikeng Stadium Refurbishment Project. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team of architects, engineers, urban designers and landscape architects, SATPLAN ALPHA together with collaborative partner, Information Decision Systems (IDS), created the Portal as a spatial interface through which project spatial data could be archived, overlaid and accessed by the design team.
The Portal brings together the combined value of GIS information for both project planning and progress tracking activities. In the increasingly data rich environments of development projects at all scales, the role of the geospatial specialist is becoming ever more important. The Mahikeng Stadium GIS Portal is a good example of the multi-disciplinary impact geospatial specialists can have in promoting efficient project delivery through seamless access to spatial data.
Project Outputs:
- Project Geodatabase
- Project Mapping Series
