VIEWPOINT | LEXIS NEXIS RELEASES ‘SPLUMA – A PRACTICAL GUIDE’

We are happy to promote a recent Lexis Nexis publication titled ‘SPLUMA – A Practical Guide’, compiled in part by our friend and colleague Advocate Nic Laubscher (B.Juris LL.B)

The Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act No.16 of 2013 (also known as ‘SPLUMA’) was enacted in July 2015, and will have far reaching impact on the fields of spatial planning and land use management in the Republic of South Africa moving forward.

This publication comes at a very important time in the evolution of the post-apartheid South African planning system. The recent introduction of SPLUMA into the planning fray places responsibility on government, planners and other associated built environment specialists to apply the Act through their work. The Practical Guide is a concise and useful resource for all specialists who carry this responsibility.
